Experience one of the most spectacular hikes in Central America by ascending the majestic Acatenango Volcano, an adventure combining nature, mountain, and incomparable views of Fuego Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the region.
The tour begins in Antigua Guatemala with a transfer to the ascent starting point. During the hike you will pass through various ecosystems, from agricultural areas to cloud forests and high-mountain zones, enjoying breathtaking landscapes at every step.
Upon arriving at the base camp, you can rest in equipped mountain cabins while enjoying a privileged view of Fuego Volcano and its constant eruptions. At night you will live a unique experience around a campfire, under a starry sky and surrounded by the majesty of the mountain.
At dawn on the second day, you will ascend to the summit of Acatenango to witness one of Guatemala’s most impressive sunrises, with panoramic views of volcanoes, valleys, Lake Atitlán, and — on clear days — the Pacific Ocean.

Itinerary — Day 1: Ascent and Camp
06:30 – 07:00 hrs | Hotel pick-up in Antigua Guatemala. Transfer to the ascent starting point (approx. 1.5 hours).
Arrival, registration, and meeting with certified local guide.
Start of hike to base camp. During the route:
- Stops for rest and hydration

Continue ascent to camp.
